Utah Concrete Pouring

When most people think about concrete in Utah, they immediately think about sidewalks and patios, but few know the material can also be used to make breathtaking and aesthetically appealing indoor floors, foyers, and even countertops. Concrete pouring has evolved into something of an art form. The concrete pouring process in Utah involves arranging the initial consultation, clearing the site, setting forms, pouring the concrete, screeding and finishing, curing the concrete, and performing concrete maintenance. Before pouring, the contractor finds a trustworthy and skilled company, discusses the project, and signs a contract outlining the type of project, color, texture, finish, payment information, estimated timetable, and warranty. The site is cleared of any debris and rocks, and a granular fill sub-base is created. Forms are set after the sub-base is prepared. The concrete is poured from a truck, raked to prevent air pockets, screeded for a smooth level top, and finished with a trowel. Once the final finish is applied, the concrete must cure for roughly 28 days. Proper maintenance includes applying a high-quality sealer every one to five years.
